Recently, the National Radio and Television Administration approved the expansion of the China (Xiamen) Intelligent Audiovisual Industry Base. The expansion includes incorporating the Media Group Building in Haicang District into the unified management and operation of the base. Following this approval, the base now features a new multi-area development model with the Xiamen Software Park core area, a film and television shooting base, and the Haicang expansion area. This expansion aims to deepen the integration of "culture, technology +and industry" in the intelligent audiovisual sector, further scale up and diversify industry formats, and unlock development potential to promote the entire audiovisual industry chain. Since its approval in December 2020, the Xiamen base has driven the agglomeration of audiovisual-related enterprises, achieving a cumulative revenue of approximately 21.5 billion yuan and operating profits of about 7.52 billion yuan. With 11,200 employees and 368 settled enterprises, the base has effectively played a role in promoting industrial agglomeration, scale benefits, industry incubation, and demonstration effects, contributing to cross-strait exchanges and cooperation and the development of the audiovisual industry.
